2018 FFA Cup Round 3 Northern Pool Kicks Off in Regional Zones

March 24th, 2018

Northern NSW Football’s (NNSWF) Round 3 of the FFA Cup kicks off this weekend in Tamworth and Coffs Harbour.

The FFA Cup provides Northern NSW National Premier Leagues clubs and Northern NSW Club teams the opportunity to progress to the Round of 32 and the chance to play off against club-based winners from fellow states, as well as Hyundai A-League Clubs in this National knockout tournament.

Round 3 winners will progress to the Regional Qualifiers to be held in Coffs Harbour on the weekend of the 12th and 13th May. They will be joined by 6 other teams representing NNSWF’s four Regional Member Zones; North Coast Football, Northern Inland Football, Football Far North Coast and Football Mid North Coast.

On Saturday, North Companions FC travel to Tamworth to take on Tamworth FC at Gipps Street at 3:00pm.

The second fixture will be played on Sunday between Oxley Vale Attunga FC and Demon Knights FC, at Gipps Street for a 1:00pm kick off.

In Coffs Harbour, Boambee Bombers home game against Coffs United Lions has been postponed due to weather.

The other fixture is a Round 3 replay from last year’s FFA Cup, as Urunga Raiders travel to Coffs Coast Tigers’ home ground for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday. The Tigers defeated Urunga on penalties last year, and will be hoping for a similar result this time around.
