Everything a parent needs to register their child through PlayFootball in 2022

January 5th, 2022

NNSWF PlayFootball Support Co-Ordinator Jay Phouisangiem has offered some hints and tips for parents as they prepare to register their child for football in 2022.

Jay joined NNSWF from Football Australia in January where he worked in the national PlayFootball team. He provides training and support to clubs and member zones surrounding the registration system.

Jay’s PlayFootball tips for parents

His experience with PlayFootball means Jay also has a number of suggestions to help parents.

“The biggest thing for parents to keep in mind when they register their children to play football is you only need to create one account,” Jay said.

“You don’t need to create multiple accounts for each family member. For example, if you want to register two or three kids for football, you only need to create one account in your name. Then there will be an option to link your children to that account.

“You’ll have the option whether you are registering for yourself or another person.

“Other than that, a good tip for new players is to have some form of ID handy. Try and keep everything as simple as possible.

“It’s also a good idea to contact the club you want to register with first before you attempt to register on PlayFootball. They’ll be able to give you any up to date information and can even provide you with a direct link to register with their club.”

Support for parents

Parents can contact the PlayFootball team directly if they are having issues with registering by emailing support@playfootball.com.au or calling 02 8880 7983.

The support team will be available from 9am until 9pm throughout January and February, with the potential for the extended service to continue into March.

While registrations for some community clubs will open from the first week of January, NNSWF’s annual official date for open registrations is 1 February. Contact your club for more information.
