First Touch Football Supplies to close

August 8th, 2022

Northern NSW Football has made the difficult decision to close First Touch Football Supplies.

First Touch, which has been part of the northern NSW football community since 1998, will cease operations from 30 September 2022.

First Touch has been a valuable alternate revenue stream for football and reduced reliance on player registration fees to fund operations.

All profits have been reinvested back into the game but this is no longer possible due to the changing operating environment.

The recent past has been challenging for many small to medium businesses in terms of the rising cost of doing business. First Touch has not been immune to these external shocks as increased competition and declining profitability have made business viability unworkable.

NNSWF CEO David Eland thanked all of First Touch’s loyal customers for their support.

“To all First Touch customers, clubs, referees and staff over the last 20 years, thank you. Your long term support is highly appreciated and has made a tangible, positive impact on football in our region,” Eland said.

Orders will be accepted until 30 September 2022.

Call 02 4941 7277 or email sales@northernnswfootball.com.au  for orders and enquiries.
