Grassroots Sports Fund available to northern NSW clubs

March 4th, 2022

The NSW Office of Sport has made its Grassroots Sports Fund available to clubs and zones.

The fund will support eligible sporting clubs and zones affiliated with State Sporting Organisations.

The Grassroots Sport Fund will provide a one-off grant of up to $1,000 to eligible clubs and zones to help them recover from the impacts of COVID-19 and the recommencement of community sport.

Clubs must be a legal entity (incorporated or company) to apply for NSW Office of Sport grants. Clubs must have been affiliated to their zone or NNSWF as of 23 October 2021 and have registered participants. More information and eligibility criteria can be found here.

The online application should only take a few minutes to complete.

To access the application click here.

The process for clubs and zones to receive the funding is as follows:

  • Zones/clubs complete the application
  • NNSWF will assess the eligibility of each application in conjunction with the applicable zone
  • NNSWF will request an invoice from successful applicants for the $1000 (+ GST if applicable)
  • NNSWF to provide payment of funding to zones and clubs upon receipt of invoice

Please refer to the program guidelines for eligible costs that can be claimed. The date for clubs and zones to apply has been extended to 31 March.
