Monique Soutter from Wee Waa United FC named Northern Inland’s Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Year

October 8th, 2021

Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Monique Soutter as Northern Inland’s Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Year for 2021.

Monique contributes so much to Wee Waa United FC, setting up for games and organising kits at the start of the season for distribution.

She has three young children but still manages to look after other kids, organise things before games and attend matches as well as look after senior football in the afternoons.

“Finding volunteers as enthusiastic and selfless as Monique is the goal for all sporting clubs across Australia,” NNSWF Community Football Manager Ross Hicks said.

“Her contribution has been key in the club’s sustained success and it is satisfying to be able to acknowledge the effort and hard work Monique has provided Wee Waa United FC over the years.”

Newcastle Permanent Tamworth Branch Manager Julie Callander congratulated Monique on becoming the recipient of the Northern Inland Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Year Award.

“Volunteers are the vital backbone to football. Without dedicated volunteers like Monique, community football would not happen every weekend,” Callander said.

“We thank and congratulate Monique for her valuable contribution.”
