NNSWF launch 2022 recruitment campaign: Game On

February 1st, 2022

Northern NSW Football has launched its new recruitment campaign ahead of the 2022 season.

The Game On campaign’s main objective is to help NNSWF recruit the next generation of footballers through MiniRoos registrations.

NNSWF have teamed up with creative agency Enigma to create a television commercial and digital campaign as well as professional media buying to ensure audiences are targeted accurately and efficiently.

The creative assets produced for the campaign feature Newcastle Football club Kotara South FC.

The Game On campaign works in conjunction with Football Australia’s PlayFootball campaign, which aims to aid recruitment of other participant categories including junior players, senior players, coaches, referees and volunteers.

NNSWF General Manager Marketing and Communications Mike Collins said he was delighted with how the campaign had taken shape.

“It has taken a lot of work from our team and we’re very proud of how it has turned out. We can’t wait for the football community to see it,” Collins said.

“MiniRoos registrations are really important obviously because they are the next generation of footballers but equally important is the recruitment of women and girls which has been one of our fastest and highest growing participant categories.

“We can only see that number increasing in the lead up to the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 here at home. It’s an exciting time for football in northern NSW and we can’t wait to see everyone back out on the pitch this season.”

NNSWF is providing campaign assets and other tools to clubs to help them recruit and retain participants. Assets are available on the Club Headquarters page of the NNSWF website.

NNSWF is also providing a number of training opportunities to help clubs prepare for the 2022 season. These include workshops with dedicated NNSWF staff on PlayFootball registration and administration, volunteer recruitment, duty officer training, child safety and Working with Children Check training and club improvement training through the National Club Development Program.

Collins also hosted a Marketing Masterclass last month, which is available to view HERE.
