Northern NSW Members Invited to FFA Community Summit In Newcastle on March 13

March 7th, 2019

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has invited members of the football community to join a series of Community Summits across the country to help shape the future of the game in Australia.

The Northern NSW Community Summit will be held in Newcastle on Wednesday, 13 March at NNSW Home of Football, Speers Point from 7:30pm – 9:30pm.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) opened expressions of interest for members of the football community to join in a series of Community Summits across the country and help shape the future of the game in Australia.

Football Federation Australia Chairman Chris Nikou said the newly elected Board of Directors have committed to embark on extensive consultation to listen to the feedback of the football community.

“Community consultation is an important first step for the Board. We want to hear from as many members of the football community as possible over the next few months about the issues that are most important to them, so we can continue to improve our game.

“We will use the feedback from our stakeholders during these forums to help guide the development of the next four-year strategic plan.

“We want our players, our clubs and our fans to have the opportunity to help shape the future of our game,” he said.

The Community Summits will also provide a forum for the Board of Directors and Members of the FFA’s Senior Management Team to provide an update on:

> NPL restructure

> Work undertaken on facilities with Government

> Youth development pathways

> Junior participation programs and

> Coach and referee development

“We would love to see a large cross section of the football community from Member Federations, Zones and District Associations, grassroots clubs, NPL clubs, coaches, referees, fans and other stakeholder groups across each capital city,” Mr. Nikou said.

NNSWF members can register here for next Wednesday’s forum.

Registrations will be accepted until venue capacity is reached.
