Northern Storm FC achieve four-star NCDP accreditation

August 11th, 2022

Northern Storm FC have achieved a four-star rating in the National Club Development Program.

The North Coast Football club has maintained consistent growth in recent seasons. This includes their commitment to the Coastal Premier League where the club are locked in a close battle to reach the finals in first and reserve grade.

The club have also continued a tradition of competing at the top level in junior competitions as they work towards the NCF finals series.

Northern Storm continues to negotiate facility improvements that will provide an improved experience for their members and the teams they host each weekend. The club expect an announcement to be made shortly regarding a new facility to be constructed at York Street Oval while they continue to explore options to provide better facilities at Plantain Road Oval, Korora.

Northern NSW Football Club Development Officer Phillip Andrews congratulated Northern Storm on their achievement.

“It was a pleasure meeting Mike, Craig and Eric at Korora Park to present the club with a certificate of achievement and discuss the club’s position,” Andrews said.

“The club is invested in local football and committed to the development of improved facilities at both venues. The club has plans to further develop their participation in female football and looks forward to capitalising on opportunities that the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 might bring their way.

“In working towards accreditation, adopting and displaying policies became a priority for Northern Storm FC.

“There are a number of clubs throughout Australia that have used the NCDP to guide club improvement leading to success in achieving goals. The development of governance plays a crucial role in club improvement with the NCDP being a valuable resource for guiding clubs towards development.
