Looking for a new challenge within football? Or just looking for a way to earn some extra cash while staying involved in football? Refereeing is a great way to stay active and involved in the world game.
Whether you want to referee at local level, remain active in the game following injury or retirement or make a career out of refereeing, Northern Inland Football and Northern NSW Football are dedicated to making your journey as rewarding as possible.
Follow these few simple steps and you will be on your way to becoming a match official!
1) FFA ONLINE LAWS OF THE GAME COURSE AND EXAMINATION
This is a free online training module which provides a basic introduction to the Laws of the Game and their interpretations. Successful candidates will receive a certificate identifying they have demonstrated awareness in the Laws of the Game, and have the necessary knowledge to attend the Level 4 Referee course. The online test takes roughly 45 mins.
This course on its own does not provide you with any official FFA Refereeing qualification.
2) LEVEL 4 REFEREE COURSE
The Level 4 Referee Course is designed to complement the FFA online Laws of the Game Course and is aimed at match officials wishing to officiate on community and premier competition football. Participants must be a minimum of 13 years old to attend.
The Level 4 Referee program is a combination of classroom sessions and practical mentoring.
*Any person who is not yet 13 years of age but still wishes to become a qualified referee is asked to please contact the NIF Referees Administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org
