Special guests coming to LMRFF for annual Coaches Conferences

Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) will be holding their annual Coaches Conference for 2019 on December 7 featuring special guest presentations from prominent Australian football coaches including former Caltex Socceroos, Australian Institute of Sport and Perth Glory coach Ron Smith. 

The day will be filled with interactive discussions covering player development and session design with some of the best football minds from Northern NSW and Australia.

A previous instructor for both the Asian Football Confederation and the Oceania Football Confederation, Smith will be delivering theory and practical sessions on the importance of developing players’ technical proficiency.

Joining him will also be Football Federation Australia Technical Director Rob Sherman who will deliver practical sessions on the development of decision making in the SAP and the basic principles of Play while also giving an update on the Player Pathways.

Head of Player Relations at Professional Footballers Australia, and former Hyundai A-League player, Beau Busch will look at a case study of the golden generation of Australian football and the lives of Australia’s professional footballers and the important of support networks in thriving both on and off the field, while attendees will also be introduced to the new NNSWF Technical Director Clayton Zane, who made 14 caps for the Caltex Socceroos.

Zane will discuss the key priorities within the winning pillar for 2020 and deliver a practical coaching demonstration session.

As part of the second round of announcements, PFA Chief Executive, and former NSL professional footballer with Sydney United and Melbourne Knights, John Didulica, and Football Coaches Australia Chief Executive, Glenn Warry, have also been announced as a special guest presenters.

Coaches who attend will receive 30 advanced coach re-accreditation points, NNSWF coaching notebook, lunch and copies of session plans.
